Applicants for a permit to grow or dispense medical marijuana will have to comply with some significant restrictions and requirements. Here are a few of the more interesting ones:

1. Grower-processors must be able to be up and running in no more than six months.

2. Packaging cannot include any "cartoon, color scheme, image, graphic or feature that might make the package attractive to children."

5. Packaging must be sealed, child resistant, tamper-evident or tamper-proof, light resistant and opaque, and resealable.

6. Products must include the following warning: "This product is for medicinal use only. Women should not consume during pregnancy or while breastfeeding except on the advice of the practitioner who issued the certification and, in the case of breastfeeding, the infant’s pediatrician. This product might impair the ability to drive or operate heavy machinery. Keep out of reach of children."
