Bismarck – It may be a step toward legalizing recreational marijuana in North Dakota. State Representative Marvin Nelson of Rolla wants the legislature to study recreational pot.
Nelson says he thinks recreatonal pot will eventually be a question for the legislature or voters.
A petition drive to legalize marijuana fell short of signatures to appear on the November ballot.
Lawmakers are working to place some regulations on medical marijuana before that becomes available.
