Reminiscent of the original pioneer women who settled the valley outside Mad River, California during the Gold Rush, Tawny Boutin is down-to-earth, simple, all-seeing and wise. She grew up literally down the lane from where she lives now. Her childlike qualities include a deep seeded fear that her husband won’t come back from a drug run or that the feds will crash her bucolic setting.
